Export Formats¶
Every format Transduce supports: what each option actually does to your footage, and when to pick it. Written for filmmakers, not colorists — no assumed background in post-production terminology.
Every format starts from the same internal image: a wide-gamut, scene-linear representation called ACEScg. Nothing is baked in or clipped until export time — each format below applies its own math to that image, which is what these options actually control.
Sequence formats (one file per frame)¶
- OpenEXR — the professional VFX/compositing and archival standard.
- DPX Sequence — the dominant Digital Intermediate / VFX plate format.
- PNG Sequence — lossless, sRGB, the safest "just works" still-frame format.
Post-house video¶
Grouped in Module Manager as "Standard Out" (PNG/EXR/DPX/CineForm/Uncompressed) — that grouping doesn't change what the options below do.
Web/consumer delivery¶
H.264 and H.265 ship as standard, always-on formats. WebM, AV1, and JPEG Sequence are optional — off by default, turned on individually through Module Manager.
