Input Panel¶
The clip bin. Drag files in, or use File → Add Clips…, to import. Selecting a clip here loads it into the Viewer and the Colour Panel.
View modes¶
Three ways to browse the bin, switched via the buttons above the list:
- List — single-line rows, no thumbnail. Fastest scan for a large bin.
- Detail — two-line rows with a thumbnail. Default view.
- Column — a sortable table; click a column header to sort by it.
List and Detail share a dropdown sort (Name, Frames, FPS, Resolution, ascending/descending); Column view sorts natively through its own headers.
Ready checkbox & rendering¶
Each clip has a checkbox marking it ready — the one selection that determines what gets rendered everywhere in the app: the panel's own Render button, the toolbar's Render button, and the Output Panel's own Render button all target whichever clips are checked here, using Output Panel's current export settings.
- Click a checkbox to toggle that one clip.
- Shift-click a checkbox to apply that new state to every clip between it and the last checkbox you clicked (the same range-select behaviour as native list selection), regardless of which view mode you're in.
This button was labeled Add to Queue until 2026-08-17 — there's no separate queueing step anymore; clicking it renders the checked clips directly. See Output Panel → Render, progress, and cancel for what happens next.
Reference clip¶
A gold ★ badge on a clip's thumbnail marks it as the project's
reference clip. This badge is display-only in this panel — set or
clear the reference, and run an actual colour match, from the
Color Match Panel (Ctrl+Alt+C), which is now
the one place that whole workflow lives. A clip that's had a match
applied to it shows the same badge Auto Normalize uses, to indicate
"colour was propagated from elsewhere, not entirely hand-graded."
