Colour Science Standards & References

These are not software libraries but inform the colour pipeline. No licence obligation, but credited here for transparency.

Standard / Reference Owner Notes
ACES (AP0, AP1 colour spaces) Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ACES is an open standard; our matrices are derived values, not copied code.
SMPTE ST 268M SMPTE DPX file format standard. The standard document itself is proprietary (SMPTE membership required to read the spec), but implementing it is legal.
Cineon log encoding Kodak / now public domain The Cineon log formula is industry-standard and unencumbered.
BT.709 / BT.2020 ITU-R Freely referenceable ITU standards.
Narkowicz ACES RRT approximation Krzysztof Narkowicz Public domain approximation, published on blog.
